Police say a Maryland rideshare driver was shot and killed while on duty

A Maryland man found dead in his car Wednesday has been identified.

Prince George’s County police said the body of Nesredin Eslaiman, 55, of Silver Spring, was found with a gunshot wound in his car around 6:20 a.m. in the Temple Hills neighborhood.

When officers arrived, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prince George’s County police said Eslaiman was working as a ride share driver at the time of his death.

Detectives have not yet identified a suspect and motive.
