Kannada actor Yash participated in a government-sponsored program as part of India’s 75th Independence Day celebrations in Mysore on Thursday. While sharing his secret mantra for success in life, he wandered aimlessly through the streets of Mysore as he went down memory lane.
“I always enjoy the opportunity to talk to students. Because I was very confused when I was a student. As a student, I did not behave in a way that pleased my parents. I was irresponsible and dirty on the streets of Mysore with my friends. And now in the same place, I am surprised that I am getting so much love from you,” Yash said at the event. .
Yash advised the students to never stop believing in themselves. “I didn’t make any drastic changes in my life. Simple changes can make a world of difference. We think that to achieve something we have to give up everything in life and focus on just one thing. But, that is not true. Make a few changes and you can achieve anything,” he said.
Yash notes that his self-confidence is one of the reasons why he has reached where he is today. He became a household name across the country after the monster success of KGF: Chapter 2 earlier this year. And Yash didn’t hesitate to take credit for producing a film that put Kannada cinema in the big league.
“Everyone should have an insane amount of confidence. Did you ever believe it was possible to achieve the respect that Kannada cinema enjoys across India in the past? I have no qualms about talking about it. Because there should always be positive energy around. A few years ago when I spoke with such confidence, some might have thought I was arrogant. Let me tell you one thing, when you speak, think and do everything well, everything else falls into place. You will find a group of people who believe in good. A man can do nothing. Join hands with good people,” he suggested.
KGF 2 is the highest grosser in the history of Kannada cinema. The film released earlier this year on April 14 to packed houses and created a storm at the box office. The first day collection of the movie in India is more than 130 crores. And the film earned more than Rs 1000 crore from its worldwide theatrical collection. This is the first Kannada film to achieve such a feat.
